Course Description

The 1-credit Professional Development Experience (PDE) is designed to provide students with an option for experiential learning.  The PDE should be 2-12 weeks in length and a minimum of 50 hours.  Students must have completed 2 semesters in college with at least one at Emerson and maintain a minimum of 2.7 GPA.  To participate in the PDE program, students must work with Career Development Center to complete the PDE workshop and paperwork. No more than 4 PDE credits may be applied to the total graduation requirements. Students may use no more than 13 credits of any combination of PDE 100, CDE 100 and internship credits towards the total graduation requirements.


Enrollment in this course is restricted only to students who have graduated from an Emerson undergraduate degree program. Students who wish to enroll must have an approved contract on file with Emerson's Career Development Center. 

Current Emerson students working towards an undergraduate degree should not enroll on this website. Instead, please work with the Career Development Center and your advisor on your approved plan and enroll via eCommon.
