Welcome to Summer @ Emerson! We offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses open to the general public, Emerson alumni, and visiting students from other institutions.

- Summer School registration opens for Visiting Students: Monday, March 24, 2025
- Summer I Term: Classes run from May 12 - July 1, 2025. Registration closes Friday, May 9 at 4:00pm
- Summer II Term: Classes run from July 2 - August 20, 2025. Registration closes July 1 at 12:00pm Noon

Tuition & Fees (summer 2025)
- Undergraduate Courses (numbered 100-499) - $876 per credit hour.
- Graduate Courses (numbered 600-699) - $1444 per credit hour.
During the summer semester, the undergraduate tuition rate of $876 per credit reflects a discount of 50% off the regular academic year rate of $1751 per credit, so it's a great time to catch up, get ahead, or make progress towards your learning goals.
Payment is due at the time of enrollment and may be paid online with a credit card during the secure checkout process.
Emerson charges a $35 registration fee assessed once per Term (for example - Summer Session 1 Term, Summer Session 2 Term) regardless of how many courses you decide to take within that Term. This fee will be visible during the checkout process. View our Refund policy.
Registration for Non-Degree / Visiting Students
Emerson College welcomes visiting students from other colleges and universities to enroll in courses during the summer to earn credits to transfer back to your home institution.
- Students enrolling in an undergraduate course must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Students enrolling in a graduate course must possess a bachelor's degree.
- No application is necessary.
- If planning to transfer credits, check with your home institution first to ensure course credits will qualify for transfer to your degree
When you are ready to register, browse courses via the links above or visit the Course Search page. Course sections available for registration will have an Add to Cart button to complete your purchase. Courses currently full or closed for enrollment will include a Notify Me When Course is Offered Again button or Course Alert button to sign up for an automatic email alert when a new section of the course becomes available or if a seat becomes available in a sold out course.

If you are a current Emerson degree student: To register for undergraduate or graduate credit courses applicable toward your degree, follow the instructions provided to you by the Registrar's Office to enroll via myEmerson rather than this site. Format:
For the Summer 2025 semester, most courses will be offered via either Synchronous delivery (live online instruction with scheduled meeting dates and times) or Asynchronous delivery (asynchronous online course with no set meeting days or times).
