Course Description

2 Remote Session Course

Gain facility with standard copyediting marks and practice electronic editing. Learn how to write tactful author queries and how to decide on an appropriate level of edit for the task at hand. Participants will also begin working with the Chicago Manual of Style.

Students participating in Professional Studies non-credit courses must possess a minimum of a High School diploma and must be an adult age 18 or older. Non-credit courses are taken primarily by professionals seeking to develop new skills, broaden their expertise, and build a knowledge base for their professional or personal goals. This is a synchronous course. It takes place on Monday and Wednesday from 6pm to 9:30pm EST via Zoom. The class on Monday, September 23, 2024 is being taught by Karen English. The class on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 is being taught by Carol Parikh.
