Course Description

5-week asynchronous online course

Take a deeper dive into the craft of screenwriting through lectures, workshops, and screenings. We'll explore formatting your script, creating dialogue, and adding conflict. You will read scripts, view films, and participate in discussions. As a workshop, the course requires you to receive constructive criticism of your work and to provide your classmates with helpful feedback. You'll work from your beat outline to write your first scenes, culminating in a complete First Act (approximately 30 pp.) by the end of the course.
