Course Description

5-week asynchronous online course

Learn the building blocks of writing a feature film script. We'll examine how to pitch ideas, structure your story, and develop characters. You will read scripts, view films, and participate in discussions. As a workshop, the course requires you to receive constructive criticism of your work and to provide your classmates with helpful feedback. You'll create a comprehensive beat outline for an original story and prepare to begin writing your screenplay in Screenwriting Basics II.
